In Case You Missed It: Wedding Stories of Dec '17

Have you been keeping up with what's going on in the wedding world this past month? Well, we are here to catch you up and are excited to share with you some of our favorite stories!

1. Australia makes same-sex marriage legal! And what better way to raise awareness than Australian politician, Tim Wilson, proposing to his partner at the parliament floor? "There's only one thing left to do," he says. Congratulations to the happy couple!

2. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's official wedding date has been announced! It will be next year, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle (we're already saving the date). The venue holds 800 guests which is actually a huge downsize from Prince William and Kate Middleton's venue, Westminster Abbey, which holds 2,000 guests. While we wait for more wedding updates from them, here are some of their oh so cute engagement photos!

3. Bridal dress designer, Hayley Paige, has released a trailer of her new reality show Hayley Ever After! The first episode will be released on Saturday, January 13, at 9:00 PM EST on TLC. We can't wait to watch! Hayley has been a prominent name within the bridal gown industry for quite some time now and we absolutely love her gowns! Check out the trailer below or her latest collection here!

4. Have you seen this Netflix proposal yet?! Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant from Santa Clarita Diet helped a fan, Connor, propose to his bride-to-be, Kamela. We don't want to give away all the details of how he pulled it off so check it out below!

5. Bride-to-be, Mackenzie Meaux, revealed to her friends that she has alopecia through her engagement photos and it is beautiful! She's concealed this secret for 15 years and her engagement session has now gone viral. Meaux wrote, “While taking our engagement pictures, I decided it was time to stop hiding from the one thing I tried hardest to conceal for almost 15 years. It was time to embrace my true self.” We are so glad she did this because she is stunning!
