From the moment they stepped into the room, Thao and Alan exuded effortless style, charisma, and love — the kind of couple that makes every guest stop and take notice. Elegant, confident, and completely in sync, they’re the definition of a modern power couple: turning heads, sharing laughter, and radiating warmth wherever they go. Their wedding wasn’t just a celebration of their love — it was a night that reflected who they are at their best: bold, beautiful, and unforgettable.
Getting Ready + Wedding Party Gifts
The excitement of the day was palpable as Thao and Alan prepared for their big moment in separate spaces. Each surrounded themselves with their closest friends, laughter, and a few special surprises. Thao’s bridal party received delicate jewelry gifts they could wear that day, adding a personal and elegant touch to their looks. Alan’s groomsmen got a playful twist: custom bobbleheads crafted to resemble each of them, bringing plenty of smiles (and maybe a few good-natured jokes).
From quiet, intimate moments to bursts of laughter, the getting-ready hour perfectly set the tone for a day that balanced style, sentiment, and a whole lot of personality.

Pre-Ceremony Photos
Thanks to a full portrait session before their wedding day, Thao and Alan didn’t need a traditional first look — a real time-saver and stress reliever. This allowed us to capture all of their couple portraits and wedding party photos well before the ceremony, leaving the couple free to fully enjoy the day as it unfolded.
With the pressure off, everyone could relax and have fun, resulting in portraits that felt natural, joyful, and perfectly reflective of their personalities. The wedding party had plenty of laughs, the couple shared some quiet, candid moments, and we were able to get every shot we wanted without the clock looming over us.

Ceremony
The ceremony was nothing short of breathtaking. Guests were greeted by an 85-foot white aisle, lined with delicate baby’s breath, leading to a staircase altar that elegantly elevated Thao and Alan as they exchanged vows. White and gold Oster chairs added a touch of modern elegance, while soft draping framed the aisle and created a dramatic reveal for the bride’s entrance.
Every element felt intentional — from the airy, romantic florals to the elevated altar that ensured every guest could see the couple in all their glory. The ceremony space perfectly captured their desire for a day that was both stunning and unforgettable, leaving everyone in awe before the celebration even began.

Reception Design + Details
Repurposing the ceremony’s florals and white-and-gold chairs, the reception transformed into a space that was romantic, classic, and absolutely jaw-dropping. Soft candlelight flickered across tables adorned with baby’s breath and white roses, while clear glass and acrylic vessels added a modern, airy touch. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a space that felt elegant yet effortless, inviting guests to linger, admire, and enjoy the evening in style.
From the grand scale of the decor to the intimate touches on each table, the reception perfectly reflected Thao and Alan’s vision: a celebration that was stunning, welcoming, and unforgettable.

Grand Entrance + Lion Dancers
Thao and Alan kicked off the reception with a high-energy grand entrance. Their wedding party entered like bottle girls, each carrying individual letters and backed by strobe lights, instantly getting guests on their feet and setting a playful, celebratory tone.

Then came the lion dancers, sweeping through the space with vibrant colors, rhythmic drums, and incredible energy. Guests couldn’t help but be drawn into the performance as the lions wound their way around tables, blending cultural tradition with sheer spectacle. The dancers elevated the moment, turning it into both a heartfelt nod to heritage and a jaw-dropping entertainment highlight. By the time Thao and Alan reached the dance floor, the room was alive with excitement, laughter, and awe — a perfect bridge from formal entrance to full-on celebration.

Table Rounds + Toasts
After the grand entrance and lion dancers, the evening shifted into one of the most meaningful moments of the night: the Vietnamese tradition of chào bàn. Thao and Alan visited each table to personally greet their guests, sharing a few words, expressing gratitude, and receiving well wishes in return. This tradition symbolizes respect, appreciation, and the deep connections between the couple and their loved ones, turning every table into a small, intimate celebration within the larger event.

Laughter, hugs, and heartfelt exchanges filled the room as the couple made their way through all 230 guests. The toaststhat followed were equally touching — friends and family shared stories that had everyone laughing, crying, and clinking glasses in celebration. Each speech highlighted a different facet of Thao and Alan’s personalities, underscoring their humor, warmth, and the strong bonds they share with those closest to them.

Cake + Boba
Thao and Alan’s dessert moment was as sweet and personal as the rest of their celebration. They chose a small, one-tier, heart-shaped vintage cake in red velvet, perfectly reflecting their romantic style while keeping things intimate and elegant.

To add a playful twist, guests also enjoyed custom boba drinks, blending fun and flavor in a way that perfectly mirrored Thao and Alan’s personalities. It was a delightful pause in the evening — a moment for guests to indulge, snap a few photos, and savor something both classic and unexpected before the dance floor came alive.

Party Time
With the formalities and dessert behind them, the night shifted into full-on celebration. Thao and Alan took the lead on the dance floor, moving to a playlist full of true millennial hip hop, from Waka Flocka to Ying Yang Twins, keeping the energy high and the guests fully engaged. The room was alive with laughter, music, and pure joy as everyone danced and celebrated the couple’s love.
It was a reception that perfectly captured Thao and Alan’s personalities — bold, fun, and unforgettable — wrapping up a day that had been romantic, whimsical, and visually stunning. Guests left with memories (and photos) they’ll treasure forever.
